We lived in the USVI & now are thinking of moving to Hawaii?

I have been to Hawaii and I like Maui the best for vacation, passing over equally far as housing I become aware it is more expensive,of course there are a lot of americans that work on the island in restaurants and stores also because their should be affordable housing there.
My good friend make known oahu was cheaper he lived there 6 years and less crowded than the hulking island.
